Mayfield have over 30 years of experience installing luxury decking at holiday parks and residential homes. Based in Dorset, the family-run business has built a strong reputation as the industry leaders for high-quality decking.
As Mayfield has grown, so has their product range. As well as Hampton decking, available in six dazzling colours, Mayfield offer a range of decking accessories and aftercare products.
However, none of this would be possible if it wasn’t for the approved suppliers working hard up and down the country. Last month, we put the spotlight on Simon at Wild Wood of Mayfield. He told us about his recent projects and their plans after lockdown.
This month, we’re catching up with Claire at Mayfield GPS. Claire has been part of Mayfield for many years, previously working with us as a sales representative within the caravan industry. Two and a half years ago she took a leap of faith, launching Garden Pro Solutions and joining our ever-growing list of trusted suppliers.
Working with Claire and her team couldn’t be easier. We trust her to lead the way for Mayfield in Cambridge, Norfolk and the surrounding areas. Her experience in the industry has proven to be invaluable and we’re excited to see what Mayfield GPS does next!

Where It Started
Claire was a sales representative for Mayfield long before she launched Garden Pro Solutions. Coming from a background in caravan sales, we knew we wanted her to join the family.
Her company, Garden Pro Solutions, started with landscaping and offering caravan decking removals and refits. Now, Claire and her team work across Cambridge, Norfolk and the surrounding areas installing our bespoke decks as our official approved suppliers.
Claire was already familiar with Mayfield. She knows our mission inside and out – to provide high quality, sustainable decking. And that’s why Mayfield GPS is a great fit for us. They work with the Mayfield values, striving to design and install beautiful decks that families will make the most of for years to come.
The caravan industry taught Claire everything about Mayfield and the holiday home industry. She had already delivered the excellent levels of customer service we expect from our approved suppliers by going above and beyond to ensure the client is happy.
Since we started working together 2 and a half years ago, we’ve loved working with Claire and her team.
How It’s Going
As Simon mentioned when we caught up with him last month, in this industry it’s not what you know, it’s who you know. Thanks to her experience within the caravan industry, Claire already had great connections. She’s worked with these people to get Mayfield GPS where they are now.
She’d already built a strong relationship with the right people in her area and her product knowledge was exceptional. As you can imagine, Mayfield GPS launched without any hiccups. They immediately started taking enquiries for deck installations and Claire has now expanded to employ eight people.
It’s not all about Mayfield decking either. While almost three-quarters of their time is spent designing and installing made-to-measure decking, Claire tells us they get a lot of work from landscaping (is there anything Mayfield GPS can’t do?).
Particularly in the last year, they have seen an uptake in enquiries for bespoke landscaping design including rebuilding, turfing, building sleeper beds and installing water features. One of the things that has taken off this year is bespoke sheds.As you can imagine, people are spending more time at home. With the money they’re saving on nights out and holidays, they’re looking to their home and garden renovation projects. Garden Pro Solutions have been busy building custom-made garden offices and summer houses for private homes around Cambridge, Norfolk and the surrounding areas.
Alongside the decking installation, Mayfield GPS have a new service: holiday home recladding. CanExcel is a high-quality cladding product that has proved popular. Plans For The Future
Mayfield GPS doesn’t have much time to think about the future. With lockdown restrictions being lifted, they’re receiving more enquiries than ever.
The staycation boom means that more holiday parks are looking at how they can improve their homes. Mayfield decking has a longer lifespan than a standard timber deck and can add value to any home, lodge or static caravan.
Mayfield GPS have first-hand experience when it comes to replacing timber decking with our Hampton Range. Once people have seen timber deck age, they almost always choose to upgrade to a uPVC deck board as it doesn’t rot or need major repair work. Our Hampton Range also comes with a 12-year colourfast guarantee so you know it will look great in years to come.
With Mayfield GPS being so busy, it’s nice to know that it won’t be long until they can enjoy a few drinks together in Claire’s local, The Fisherman’s Inn. The team can put their feet up, watch the water and relax on the new decking that they installed in 2020. This was one of the biggest and most exciting projects that Claire and the team worked on last year, and we can’t blame them. It looks beautiful!
